An Update on IHP: Exciting Announcement!

Back in May I announced the triumphant return of the IHP boys to the interwebs with a post on the pathophysiology and treatment of concussions.  Those who follow us will have noticed that I have been radio silent since that time, but fear not–I have not abandoned you!  While I have a few partially written blog posts in the pipeline, I have been quite busy the past several months working on a very special project.

Coach Joe Connolly, the Assistant Athletics Director and Director of Sports Performance for University of Massachusetts Athletics, and I are so excited to announce that we have a book in the works.  Titled Flexibly Periodized Autoregulatory Systems (FPAS), the book will provide an exclusive inside look at our programming philosophies. Based on the latest research and years of in-the-trenches experience and experimentation, we believe that the FPAS will be one of the most evidence-based and comprehensive resources for strength and conditioning programming available.

The book is currently about 75% complete and, when considering the editing and formatting that will have to go into it, we’re probably several months out from a release date.  Nevertheless, we wanted to make a formal announcement and get the word out there; stay tuned for further updates, and we hope that you’re as excited as we are!
